Inktober 2017 Reveal (better late than never)

Happy New Year!

As you can see, it's been quite a while since I posted anything on here.

I must apologise. I'm very sorry. The second half of 2017 turned out to be incredibly

busy on the art front and I'm afraid to say that my Lostappeared blog took a back seat.

But not not to worry, it is back. Hooray!

So, carrying on from where I left off, here is the complete set of my inktober 2017 drawings.

Admittedly, I had set myself quite a challenge. A sheet of A4 graph paper was divided into thirty one areas, one for each day of the month. Every day I drew a section of a self portrait from life, posting the results on Twitter and Instagram on a daily basis so that followers could see the developments. Drawing straight on to graph paper forced me to be very selective, especially as I was drawing in ink. It was incredible hard to gauge how the whole piece would finally fit together, but somehow, it did.

Inktober starts tomorrow. For every day during October, artists all over the world take 

on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

I've no idea if my current inktober project will actually work. Let's see what happens. Please stay tuned throughout the month and hopefully by the end of it I'll be able to reveal the whole image.

Inktober 2016: ME Week 4.

Every October, artists from all over the world take on the Inktober 

drawing challenge buy doing one ink drawing a day for the entire month. 

This year I've set myself a personal project to coincide 

with this wonderful creative event.

On each day during October, I will be drawing a scene from

 my local area: The Medway Towns in Kent. I was born, and still live, 

in Gillingham and I thought that this years Inktober would provide me

 a golden opportunity to celebrate and explore my surroundings. 

All of the places I have drawn hold some kind of significance for me.

 Why is the project titled 'ME'? 

Because ME is the postcode for the Medway Towns;

it also stands for 'me' as a person.

All of my images are posted daily on my instagram
and twitter accounts.

If you are from The Medway Towns, hopefully you will 

recognise some of my sketches. If not, Welcome to Medway.

The Wormgler: Act One.

Every October, artists take on the inktober drawing challenge by creating one ink drawing a day.

This year, I couldn't help myself from taking part in this wonderful event.

I had a very loose idea for a sequential story and during my 'coffee breaks', whilst 

working on various projects, I'd draw an image a day which I would post daily on my

 Twitter, Facebook and Instagram feeds.

Each instalment would, eventually, tell the tale of The Wormgler.

It was great fun to do and I'm overwhelmed at how popular the story became.

Unfortunately, I unable to complete the story within the 31 days as I went away on a family holiday.

Also, The Wormgler developed a strange life of it's own and it became a bigger story 

than I originally anticipated.

So, I've divided my tale into two separate acts. Act Two starts today (2/11/14), 

which you can follow on my social media accounts (see links below).

Here is all of The Wormgler: Act One collected together (Parts 1-22).
