Album Cover Artwork.Remember: The City is my Friend.

Here's my cover illustration for the highly acclaimed album
'The City is my Friend' by Remember.

I felt extremely honoured and privileged to be asked to supply the artwork
and design for the popular Vaporwave artist's latest release. Remember and
worked very closely together on the development of the design, which is
packed full of cryptic symbolism and iconography which all relate and
correspond to the album's themes, concepts and tone.

The City is my Friend by Remember is available on the artist's bandcamp page.

Inktober 2017 Reveal (better late than never)

Happy New Year!
As you can see, it's been quite a while since I posted anything on here.
I must apologise. I'm very sorry. The second half of 2017 turned out to be incredibly
busy on the art front and I'm afraid to say that my Lostappeared blog took a back seat.
But not not to worry, it is back. Hooray!
So, carrying on from where I left off, here is the complete set of my inktober 2017 drawings.
Admittedly, I had set myself quite a challenge. A sheet of A4 graph paper was divided into thirty one areas, one for each day of the month. Every day I drew a section of a self portrait from life, posting the results on Twitter and Instagram on a daily basis so that followers could see the developments. Drawing straight on to graph paper forced me to be very selective, especially as I was drawing in ink. It was incredible hard to gauge how the whole piece would finally fit together, but somehow, it did.
Here are all of the results building up to the final piece. Enjoy!

Inktober October 2017

Inktober starts tomorrow. For every day during October, artists all over the world take
on the Inktober drawing challenge by doing one ink drawing a day the entire month.

I've no idea if my current inktober project will actually work. Let's see what happens. Please stay tuned throughout the month and hopefully by the end of it I'll be able to reveal the whole image.

You can follow my daily progress on instagram
and also on my twitter account

Do you know what's great about inktober?
Anyone can do Inktober, just pick up a pen and start drawing.
Come and play.

Enjoy!

Chubby Thunderous Bad Kush Masters & Wizard Fight live sketches. The Black Heart, London.

In August, I went to a fantastic gig at the Black Heart in Camden, London.
Both Chubby Thunderous Bad Kush Masters and Wizard Fight (what great names)
were both on the bill. Naturally, I couldn't help but capture them, while they performed,
in my sketchbook. Here are the results...
The Wailing Goblin (Owen Carty)

Mark Buckwell

Will Hart

Luke Bolton

Dan Kinsey

George M Cobbold aka Bungle

Crowd at the Black Heart
Now, this is where it gets really interesting. Will Hart, bassist of CTBKM, put my three
sketches of the band together and created this wonderful 'remix' from my images.
I absolutely love it. I feel very honoured and privileged. What do you think?

Star Wars: Tatoonie

A little bit of fan art from me. It started as a little experiment
but ended up like this. Incredibly fun do draw. I hope that you
enjoy it to. Maybe I'll create some more. What do you think?

Sketchbook: Desertfest 2017

Well, seeing that my sketches of Elephant Tree at Desertfest have proven to be
very popular (a huge thank you for your lovely comments), I thought I'd post a few
more of my live drawings from the same event. All of the sketches are drawn,
in a A6 pocket sketchbook, whilst the acts are performing.
I hope that you enjoy my studies as much as I enjoyed drawing them.

I believe that Issue 3 will be out in the Autumn 2017.
